Freelance Translator (English to Portuguese)



As a Freelance Translator, you will be responsible for translating written materials from English to Portuguese. This is a full-time position based in Faro, Portugal with a salary of 1500$ per month. While accommodation is not provided, visa sponsorship will be offered for non-Portuguese candidates.

Responsibilities:
- Translate written materials from English to Portuguese accurately and efficiently
- Proofread and edit translations for accuracy and quality
- Communicate with clients to understand their needs and provide appropriate translations
- Manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines

Requirements:
- Native or near-native proficiency in both English and Portuguese
- Proven experience as a translator or similar role
- Excellent knowledge of translation software, such as SDL Trados or MemoQ
- Strong attention to detail and ability to deliver accurate translations
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively

Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Translation, Linguistics or related field
- Experience in translating technical or legal documents
- Familiarity with Portuguese culture and current events
