Instrument Technician

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Instrument Technician to join our team in Svalbard. As an Instrument Technician, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing various types of instruments and equipment used in industrial settings. This is a full-time position that does not require prior experience, making it suitable for men looking to gain hands-on experience in the field.

Your main duties will include troubleshooting equipment issues, calibrating instruments, and conducting regular maintenance to ensure proper functioning. You will also be responsible for keeping accurate records of all work performed and communicating any potential risks or concerns to the appropriate personnel.

To excel in this role, you should have strong technical skills and the ability to work independently. Attention to detail and a strong understanding of safety protocols are also essential.

Responsibilities:
- Install, maintain, and repair instruments and equipment used in industrial settings
- Troubleshoot issues with instruments/equipment and make necessary repairs
- Calibrate instruments according to manufacturer specifications
- Conduct regular maintenance checks on all equipment
- Keep accurate records of all work performed
- Communicate any potential risks or concerns to the appropriate personnel
- Follow safety protocols at all times

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent education required
- Technical degree or certification in instrumentation preferred
- Experience working with electrical systems/instrumentation is a plus but not required
- Strong technical skills and ability to work independently
- Detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving abilities
- Familiarity with safety protocols
- Physically capable of performing job duties (lifting heavy objects, standing for long periods)
- Must have valid work visa
