Land Surveyor
A Land Surveyor is responsible for measuring and mapping the land for various development projects. This role requires attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and proficiency in using surveying equipment. The ideal candidate should have a good understanding of land surveying principles and techniques, as well as the ability to work independently in challenging environments.
The main responsibilities of a Land Surveyor include conducting surveys using advanced technology such as GPS, total stations, and drones, analyzing data and creating accurate maps and reports, collaborating with other professionals such as engineers and architects to determine project requirements, and ensuring compliance with legal regulations.
The successful candidate should have a degree or diploma in Land Surveying or a related field. Prior experience in land surveying is preferred but not required. Excellent communication skills are essential for this role as the Land Surveyor will be required to interact with clients, contractors, and other professionals. Physical fitness is also important as the job may involve working outdoors in various weather conditions.
This position is based in Svalbard, a remote archipelago situated between Norway and the North Pole. While this position is open to all nationalities, preference will be given to male candidates due to the physically demanding nature of the job.
