Long Haul Truck Driver

As a Long Haul Truck Driver, you will be responsible for transporting goods and materials across long distances, typically between cities or states. Your main duty will be to safely operate a commercial truck and deliver cargo to its designated destination within set timeframes. You will also be responsible for performing routine vehicle inspections, maintaining accurate logs of driving hours and routes, and ensuring compliance with all traffic laws and regulations.

Qualifications:

- A valid commercial driver's license (CDL)
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a truck driver
- Clean driving record
- Ability to drive long distances and work flexible hours
- Knowledge of traffic laws, regulations, and safety procedures
- Strong communication skills
- Basic math skills for calculating mileage and fuel consumption
- Physically fit with the ability to lift up to 50 pounds

Responsibilities:

- Safely operate a commercial truck in compliance with all traffic laws and regulations
- Transport goods from one location to another over long distances
- Plan routes and meet delivery schedules while considering road conditions, weather, and traffic patterns
- Perform routine vehicle inspections before and after each trip, reporting any mechanical issues or defects
- Maintain accurate logs of working hours, vehicle maintenance, fuel consumption, tolls, etc.
- Communicate with dispatchers and other drivers using two-way radios or GPS systems
- Adhere to company policies and procedures regarding loading/unloading procedures, cargo securement, etc.
- Follow all safety procedures while handling hazardous materials or driving in hazardous conditions
- Obey weight limits and ensure cargo is properly loaded and secured for safe transport

Benefits:

We offer a competitive salary of $1700 per month without accommodation. Our company also provides health insurance benefits after 6 months of employment.
