Job Title: Database Administrator (DBA)


We are currently hiring for a skilled Database Administrator (DBA) to join our dynamic team in Alta, Norway. As a DBA, you will be responsible for the performance, integrity, and security of our company's databases. Your role will involve creating, maintaining, and optimizing database structures and ensuring smooth data operations across different systems.

Responsibilities:
- Design and implement database solutions to support business needs
- Monitor database performance and troubleshoot any issues that arise
- Ensure data security and compliance with regulations
- Develop and maintain database backup and recovery strategies
- Collaborate with software developers to optimize database usage in applications
- Keep abreast of new technologies and advancements in the field of database management

Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Database Administrator or similar role
- Strong knowledge of SQL language and relational databases such as MySQL, Oracle, or SQL Server
- Familiarity with data backup, recovery, and security protocols
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team

Preferred qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
- Certification in database administration (e.g. Oracle Certified Professional)
- Experience with cloud-based databases such as AWS RDS or Azure SQL Database

Salary:
This is a contract job offering a salary of 1600$ per month.

Location:
The position is based in Alta, Norway. However, we welcome applicants from all nationalities who are eligible to work in Norway.
