Pastry Chef at a High-End Restaurant in Alta, Norway



We are seeking a skilled and creative Pastry Chef to join our team at a high-end restaurant in the beautiful city of Alta, Norway. As a Pastry Chef, you will be responsible for creating and executing unique and delicious desserts and pastries that will leave our guests wanting more.

Responsibilities:
- Develop and create new dessert and pastry recipes that align with the restaurant's concept and standards
- Prepare all desserts and pastries for daily service while maintaining high quality and consistency
- Manage inventory and ordering of ingredients to ensure freshness and efficiency
- Train, mentor, and supervise junior pastry staff members
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe kitchen environment at all times

Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Pastry Chef in a high-end restaurant or hotel setting
- Strong knowledge of different baking techniques, ingredients, equipment, and sanitation procedures
- Creative flair with the ability to develop innovative dessert ideas while also following traditional recipes
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to multitask effectively
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work closely with other kitchen team members

Qualifications:
- Culinary degree or diploma in Pastry Arts or related field preferred
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Pastry Chef or similar role
- Knowledge of Norwegian cuisine is an asset but not required

Salary:
We are offering a competitive salary of 1200$ per week for this full-time position. The exact salary will be based on experience level.
