Reference Librarian in La-Condamine, Monaco


We are in need of a highly knowledgeable and experienced Reference Librarian to join our library team in the beautiful city of La-Condamine, Monaco. As a Reference Librarian, you will be responsible for assisting library patrons with their research needs and providing them with accurate and relevant information. Your main duties will include organizing reference materials, conducting research for library users, and creating user-friendly guides for commonly used resources.

To excel in this role, you should have a strong passion for information literacy and be familiar with various research methods. The ideal candidate will also have excellent communication skills, as you will be working closely with library patrons from diverse backgrounds.

Responsibilities:
- Assist library users in locating and accessing relevant information
- Provide one-on-one research assistance to patrons
- Create and maintain user-friendly guides for commonly used resources
- Develop specialized collections based on the needs of the community
- Organize reference materials in an easily accessible manner
- Stay up-to-date with new technologies and resources in order to improve the library's services
- Collaborate with other librarians to plan and implement programs that promote information literacy

Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Library Science or a related field
- Minimum of 2 years experience as a Reference Librarian or similar role
- Familiarity with various research methods and online databases
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Strong customer service skills and ability to work well with diverse groups of people
- Knowledge of current trends in libraries and information services
- Fluency in English (knowledge of French is a plus)
- Must have own visa/work permit for Monaco
