Job Title: Carpenter - Building and Construction Professional



Our growing construction company in Fonvieille is seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our team. As a Carpenter, you will be responsible for constructing, installing, and repairing structures and fixtures made of wood, plywood, and wallboard. You will also be required to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine the materials required for a project.

Responsibilities:
- Measure and mark cutting lines on materials using ruler, pencil, chalk, or marking gauge
- Follow safety procedures at all times to ensure a safe working environment
- Install structures and fixtures such as windows, frames, floorings, trim, or hardware using hand tools
- Study specifications in blueprints or sketches to prepare project layout and determine dimensions of materials required
- Shape or cut materials to specified measurements using hand tools or power tools
- Install structures or fixtures such as windows, frames, floorings or trim using carpenter's hand or power tools
- Erect scaffolding or ladders for assembling structures above ground level
- Finish surfaces of woodwork or wallboard in houses and buildings using paintbrushes or spray guns

Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Carpenter in the building and construction industry
- Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings
- Knowledge of construction materials and their uses
- Excellent understanding of carpentry techniques
- Physical dexterity with the ability to work in confined spaces
- Good mathematical skills with the ability to calculate angles
- Must have your own set of carpentry tools
- High school diploma; successful completion of an apprenticeship program is preferred
