Instrument Technician


An established engineering company in Bungoma is seeking an experienced Instrument Technician to join our team. As an Instrument Technician, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of various instruments and control systems used in industrial settings. This is a contract position with a salary of 1100$ per month, suitable for English-speaking individuals, preferably from India. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in a similar role, but we are open to candidates without prior experience who are willing to learn. Please note, this position does not include accommodation.

Key Responsibilities:
- Install and maintain various instruments and control systems according to technical specifications
- Troubleshoot and repair any malfunctions or issues with instruments or control systems
- Calibrate instruments and perform routine maintenance to ensure accuracy and reliability
- Collaborate with other technicians and engineers to identify and resolve complex technical problems
- Follow safety protocols and regulations at all times while working on site

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical diploma or certification preferred
- Minimum of 2 years experience as an Instrument Technician in an industrial setting
- Strong knowledge of instrumentation principles and control systems such as PLCs, DCS, SCADA
- Experience with troubleshooting and repairing instrumentation equipment including transmitters, sensors, controllers, etc.
- Basic understanding of electrical circuits and ability to read technical drawings/schematics
- Excellent communication skills in English; knowledge of other languages is a plus
