Head Pastry Chef



As the Head Pastry Chef at our luxury hotel in La-Condamine, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the pastry department. You will use your creativity and expertise to develop new and exciting menus that showcase your talent and delight our guests.

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a team of pastry chefs to ensure the highest quality of desserts, pastries, and bakery items are produced
- Plan and implement new menus, taking into consideration seasonal ingredients, dietary restrictions, and guest preferences
- Maintain inventory levels and order supplies to ensure efficient operation of the pastry department
- Monitor food costs and work within budgetary guidelines
- Train and mentor junior pastry chefs to improve skills and knowledge in the field
- Ensure all food safety standards are met and maintained at all times

Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Pastry Chef or similar role in a luxury hotel or fine dining establishment
- In-depth knowledge of pastry techniques, ingredients, and equipment
- Creativity and passion for creating visually appealing desserts that taste delicious
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate a team to achieve common goals
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Attention to detail and ability to maintain high standards under pressure

Education:
A degree in Culinary Arts or relevant field is preferred. Certification in Pastry Arts is a plus.

Language:
Fluency in English is required. Knowledge of French would be an asset.

Salary:
We offer a competitive salary package starting at $1000 per month.
