Contract Civil Engineer

A leading construction company in Faroe-Islands is seeking a skilled Civil Engineer to join our team on a contract basis. As a Contract Civil Engineer, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing various construction projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to high quality standards. This role is suitable for someone without prior experience as we provide on-the-job training.

Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with project managers and other engineers to plan and execute construction projects
- Conduct site inspections and monitor progress of work
- Ensure compliance with building codes, regulations, and safety standards
- Prepare cost estimates and budgets for projects
- Communicate effectively with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders
- Provide technical expertise and guidance to junior engineers

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field
- Strong knowledge of construction principles, techniques, and materials
- Excellent project management skills
- Proficient in using computer-aided design (CAD) software
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
- Own visa or work permit for Faroe Islands (preferred)
- Accommodation provided by the company (preferred)
