Metal Fabricator
A metal fabricator is responsible for shaping and assembling metal parts to create various products such as machinery, equipment, and structures. They use a variety of tools and equipment, including welding torches, grinders, saws, and hammers. The ideal candidate for this role must have experience in metalworking and be able to read blueprints and schematics. They should also possess strong problem-solving skills to troubleshoot issues that may arise during the fabrication process.
Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and other technical drawings
- Measure and mark dimensions on metal materials using rulers, squares, or templates
- Cut and shape metal pieces using saws, shears, or torches
- Use hand tools or machines to bend, drill, punch or hammer metal parts into desired shapes
- Weld or solder metal components together to assemble the final product
- Inspect finished products for quality and accuracy
- Troubleshoot issues with machinery or equipment during fabrication process
- Adhere to safety guidelines at all times
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a metal fabricator or similar role
- Proficiency in reading blueprints and technical drawings
- Strong knowledge of different types of metalworking techniques and tools
- Ability to operate various machinery such as welders, cutters, grinders, etc.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to think critically under pressure
- Attention to detail and precision in workmanship
- Physical strength and stamina to perform tasks such as lifting heavy materials
- Biometric passport preferred
