Junior Librarian


We are looking for a passionate and detail-oriented Junior Librarian to join our team in Vejle. As a Junior Librarian, you will be responsible for assisting the senior librarians in managing the library's collection, providing reference and research assistance to patrons, and organizing events and programs.

Responsibilities:
- Assist senior librarians in maintaining the library's collection by shelving books, cataloging materials, and processing new acquisitions.
- Help patrons locate materials and provide reference assistance.
- Conduct research on various topics as requested by patrons.
- Organize and lead events and programs such as book clubs, storytime sessions, and workshops.
- Help develop promotional materials for library services and programs.
- Maintain an organized and welcoming environment for patrons.
- Collaborate with other library staff to plan and implement new initiatives.
- Stay up-to-date with current trends in library services and recommend improvements to existing programs.

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Library Science or a related field preferred.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work well independently as well as part of a team.
- Basic knowledge of library systems and software preferred but not required.

This is a full-time position with a salary of $1400 per month. The successful candidate must be able to work without accommodation. This is an urgent job opportunity so we are looking for someone who is available to start immediately.
