Junior Preservation Architect


We are seeking a highly motivated and talented Junior Preservation Architect to join our team in Faro, Portugal. As a Junior Preservation Architect, you will be responsible for assisting senior architects in the design, planning, and implementation of preservation projects. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate or entry-level professional to gain hands-on experience in the field of historic preservation.

Key Responsibilities:
- Assist senior architects in conducting site surveys and preparing reports on the condition of historic buildings
- Collaborate with team members to develop design proposals and preservation plans for various projects
- Prepare detailed drawings and specifications for preservation work
- Conduct research on materials, techniques, and historical context for preservation projects
- Monitor project progress and ensure compliance with conservation standards and regulations
- Coordinate with contractors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and adherence to project specifications
- Attend site visits, meetings, and presentations with clients as needed

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in architecture or a related field
- 1-2 years of experience in the field of historic preservation (internships or coursework may be considered)
- Knowledge of conservation principles, techniques, and materials used in restoration projects
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and other architectural software programs
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Attention to detail and ability to work independently as well as part of a team

Salary: $1400 per month
Location: Faro, Portugal
