Formworker Supervisor
As a Formworker Supervisor in Svalbard, your primary responsibility will be to oversee and coordinate the work of a team of formworkers. You will be responsible for ensuring the quality and efficiency of formwork construction projects, while adhering to safety protocols and meeting project deadlines. Your role will involve both supervising on-site work and managing administrative tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise a team of formworkers, including assigning tasks, providing guidance and support, and conducting performance evaluations.
- Ensure that all formwork construction projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
- Collaborate with project managers and engineers to develop project plans and schedules.
- Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress and address any issues or concerns that arise.
- Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment.
- Enforce safety protocols at all times, including conducting safety meetings and inspections.
- Maintain accurate records of project progress, costs, and any changes or delays.
- Prepare reports for senior management on project status, issues, risks, and recommendations for improvement.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years experience as a Formworker or in a similar role.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to effectively manage a team.
- In-depth knowledge of formwork construction techniques, materials, tools, and equipment.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to make quick decisions under pressure.
- Familiarity with relevant safety regulations and procedures.
- Good communication skills with the ability to collaborate with various stakeholders.
- Proficiency in reading blueprints and other technical documents.
Education:
A high school diploma is required. A degree or certification in construction management or a related field is preferred.
Salary:
The salary for this position is $900 per week.
Location:
This position is located in Svalbard. While preference will be given to candidates who are already based in Svalbard, we are open to considering candidates from other locations who are willing to relocate.
