Interpreter

We are seeking a skilled Interpreter to join our team in Clairvaux. As an Interpreter, you will be responsible for facilitating communication between individuals who speak different languages. Your main duties will include interpreting spoken and written communication, maintaining accurate records of translated materials, and providing cultural guidance when necessary.

To excel in this role, you must be fluent in at least two languages and have excellent verbal and written communication skills. You should also have a strong understanding of different cultures and be able to adapt your communication style accordingly. A degree or certification in interpretation is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities:

- Interpret spoken communication accurately and efficiently.
- Translate written materials such as documents, emails, and reports.
- Maintain organized records of translated materials.
- Provide cultural guidance and context when necessary.
- Attend meetings or conferences as an interpreter.
- Research relevant terminology and familiarize yourself with industry-specific terms.
- Collaborate with other interpreters to ensure consistency in translations.
- Continuously improve your language skills by staying updated on current events, slang, and idiomatic expressions.

Requirements:

- Fluency in at least two languages (English plus one other).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to translate accurately without changing the meaning or tone of the original message.
- Strong understanding of different cultures and the ability to adapt communication styles accordingly.
- Degree or certification in interpretation preferred but not required.
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends if necessary.

Salary: $1700 per month.
