Accountant

We are in search of a skilled and detail-oriented Accountant to join our team in Hawalli. As an Accountant, you will be responsible for managing all financial transactions, preparing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting principles. This role requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.

Responsibilities:
- Manage all accounting transactions including accounts payable and receivable, payroll, and general ledger entries.
- Prepare balance sheets, income statements, and other financial reports.
- Ensure timely and accurate month-end closing activities.
- Reconcile bank statements and maintain the accuracy of financial records.
- Assist with budget preparation and forecasting.
- Maintain accurate records of fixed assets and depreciation schedules.
- Monitor expenses against budget and report any variances.
- Ensure compliance with accounting principles, policies, and regulations.
- Work closely with auditors during annual audits.
- Provide support to other departments as needed.

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
- Proven work experience as an Accountant or similar role.
- Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks) and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and standards (GAAP).
- Excellent organizational skills with high attention to detail.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize workloads, and meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written).
- Biometric passport or valid residence permit for Kuwait is required.

Preferred:
- Indian nationality preferred but not required.
- Previous experience working in Hawalli or the surrounding area is a plus.
