Android Developer


Our company, a leading tech firm in Eschen, is seeking an experienced Android Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of Java and Kotlin, as well as excellent problem-solving skills and a passion for creating high-quality mobile applications. As an Android Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining our Android applications, working closely with our design and product teams to deliver innovative solutions that meet user needs. This is a full-time position with accommodation options available. Kenyan nationals with biometric passports are preferred but all applicants are welcome to apply.

Salary: $1700 per month (negotiable based on experience)

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
- At least 2 years of professional experience in Android development using Java and/or Kotlin
- Experience with RESTful APIs and JSON
- Strong understanding of the Android SDK and its design principles
- Knowledge of Material Design guidelines and best practices for mobile application development
- Familiarity with agile development methodologies
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication skills in English (additional languages are a plus)

Responsibilities:
- Design and develop advanced applications for the Android platform
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features
- Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications
- Identify and fix bugs in existing code bases
- Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximize efficiency
and improve user experience
- Participate in code reviews to maintain code quality
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices
