Crane Operator

We are in need of a skilled Crane Operator to join our team in Malindi. As a Crane Operator, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining cranes used for lifting and moving heavy materials and equipment on construction sites.

Key Responsibilities:
- Operate various types of cranes, including tower, mobile, and overhead cranes, to lift and move materials according to project needs
- Perform pre-operation checks on the crane to ensure it is in safe working condition
- Maneuver the crane into position using hand signals and/or radio communications from ground crew
- Operate crane controls to lift, move, and lower materials or equipment with precision and care
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure safe and efficient movement of materials on the job site
- Maintain logs of daily activities, including hours worked, materials moved, and any incidents or maintenance issues
- Perform routine maintenance on the crane to ensure it remains in good working condition

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid crane operator certification from a recognized training program
- Minimum of 2 years experience operating cranes in a construction setting
- Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures related to crane operation
- Ability to read and understand blueprints or other technical drawings related to lifting operations
- Physically fit with the ability to lift heavy objects and work at heights if necessary
- Strong communication skills with the ability to follow instructions accurately
