an experienced Host/Hostess to join
As Host you will use your experience and skills to effectively manage GPO restaurant and The Lobby Lounge’s reservations and enquiries. This will generally involve replying to emails, phone calls, and in-person queries, as well as handling guest’s needs on a daily basis alongside payments and financial reconciliation. You will be the first point of contact for our guests; hence you will have excellent communication skills, great food and beverage knowledge and passion (both operational and related to products) and a collaborative team spirit.
What we need from you
- Experience in planning, organizing and handling reservations and using reservations system.
- Strong attention to detail and good food & beverage knowledge
- Being welcoming, charming and approachable
- Knowledge of local dining scene and current market trends.
- Must speak fluent English
- Problem solving, reasoning, motivating, organizational and training abilities.
- Excellent time management and ability to think ahead
- Strong communication skills and ability to build a rapport with colleagues, guests, and customers
