Job Description:
We are looking for an experienced Pharmacist to join our team in Khawr Fakkan. The ideal candidate should have a commitment to providing the highest quality of care to our customers and have a strong understanding of all the applicable regulations related to health and safety. The Pharmacist will be responsible for dispensing medications, providing advice related to health issues, and performing administrative tasks.

Requirements for the Candidate:
• Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy or an equivalent qualification from an accredited institution.
• Licensed in the UAE or eligible for licensure in the country.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience as a Pharmacist or related field.
• Excellent understanding of medication guidelines, regulations and standards of practice.
• Excellent communication, customer service and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Job Duties:
• Dispense medications according to prescriptions issued by doctors or other healthcare professionals while adhering to all applicable regulations and standards of practice.
• Provide advice on drug interactions, side effects, dosage, storage, and disposal of medication as well as general advice on health issues related to medications prescribed.
• Monitor patients’ progress and response to medications; contact healthcare professionals if any adverse reactions are reported by patients taking their medications.
• Ensure accuracy when dispensing medications; verify instructions on prescriptions and check against patient’s medical history while ensuring that all measures are taken to avoid any errors or mishaps before dispensing medication orders.
• Maintain records of drugs dispensed as well as patient profiles; update patient records with any new information from medical staff or patient regarding allergies or other information that must be noted prior to dispensing medications.
• Compound medications as per instructions from doctors; measure out ingredients using appropriate instruments such as scales, measurers, etc., mix ingredients together according to instruction provided by doctor or pharmacist on duty prior to dispensing them for use by patients.
