Mason Job - Doha

We are looking for an experienced Mason to join our team in Doha, Qatar. This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing and successful company with a competitive salary of 1500 QAR.

Job Description:
The Mason will be responsible for mixing and applying mortar, laying and cutting bricks, stones, tiles and other materials to construct or repair walls, floors, sidewalks and other structures. The Mason must also have the ability to read drawings/blueprints and ensure that each task is completed accurately according to the plan.

Duties & Responsibilities:
- Prepare surfaces for masonry work by cleaning existing surfaces or removing existing structure components
- Measure materials using tape measures or lasers when necessary
- Cut bricks, stones or other masonry materials as required
- Install insulation products between layers of bricks if needed
- Lay out patterns on floors/walls prior to installation
- Place mortar between layers of bricks/stones/tiles
- Smooth down mortar with trowels in order to achieve desired finishes
- Clean excess mortar from the surface of bricks/stones/tiles etc. - Monitor progress of work according to plans and regulations set by local authorities - Follow safety guidelines when working with hazardous materials or tools such as saws, grinders etc. - Assist in the installation of additional components such as doors or windows into existing structures - Perform any additional tasks as requested by supervisors. Qualifications & Requirements: - Proven experience as a Mason (minimum 2 years) - Understanding of building codes and regulations - Knowledge of basic mathematics (addition, subtraction etc.) - Ability to read blueprints/drawings is necessary - Excellent physical strength along with great attention to detail - Good communication skills both verbal and written - Ability to work independently as well as in teams - Must be able to lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) - Valid driver’s license is an asset but not required
