Job Summary:
We are looking for an experienced and passionate Executive Chef to join our team in Ajman. The Executive Chef will be responsible for planning and directing food preparation and culinary activities of the restaurant, as well as developing new dishes and menus. They should have a passion for cooking, exceptional communication skills, and the ability to work with a team.
Job Duties:
The Executive Chef will be responsible for leading kitchen operations, including menu planning, ordering supplies, creating recipes, maintaining quality control standards, overseeing food preparation staff, and developing new menu items. They will be in charge of training staff on safety protocols and techniques; managing kitchen costs; creating monthly schedules; coordinating with the front-of-house staff; monitoring inventory levels; ensuring all food is prepared according to health regulations; and troubleshooting any issues that arise in the kitchen.
Qualifications & Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Culinary Arts or related field (preferred)
• 5+ years of experience working in a professional kitchen
• Proven track record of successfully managing a kitchen staff
• Ability to lead by example and foster a positive work environment
• Excellent communication skills
• Knowledge of safety protocols and techniques
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
