Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced and qualified Pharmacist to join our team in Riyadh. As a Pharmacist, you will be responsible for providing professional and high-quality pharmaceutical services to our customers. You will ensure that all medications prescribed by physicians are dispensed accurately and that customers receive the best possible advice and care.
Responsibilities:
• Adhere to all applicable pharmacy laws, regulations, policies and procedures.
• Dispense prescriptions accurately and efficiently in accordance with established protocol.
• Ensure proper storage of drugs at all times.
• Advise customers on the use of non-prescription drugs or medical devices.
• Respond to customer inquiries regarding medications, drug interactions or side effects.
• Monitor stock levels for inventory control purposes.
• Assist in ordering medications as needed to maintain proper stock levels.
• Maintain patient records in accordance with legal requirements and company policies.
• Ensure accurate record keeping of controlled substances per state law guidelines
• Participate in continuing education programs as required by state board of pharmacy regulations
Duties:
• Compound medications according to prescriptions from physicians or other authorized prescribers
• Enter patient information into computer databases for processing prescription orders
• Answer questions from patients about medications, side effects, drug interactions, dosage instructions and storage requirements
• Provide information about new products or generic alternatives when applicable
Qualifications: • Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy or related field from an accredited college/university • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written • Proficient computer skills (MS Office) • Licensed by the State Board of Pharmacy • Knowledgeable in using compounding machines • Understanding of state and federal laws governing pharmacy practice • Experience working with insurance companies is a plus
