Optometrist Vacancy - Umm-al-Qaiwain
We are looking for an experienced Optometrist to join our team in Umm-al-Qaiwain. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing comprehensive vision care services to our clients. The Optometrist will also be expected to provide ongoing professional development training to our staff and other healthcare professionals in the region.

Requirements for Candidates:
• Degree or higher diploma in Optometry from a recognized university
• Proven experience as an Optometrist or similar position
• Excellent knowledge of ophthalmic optics and visual systems
• Strong communication skills and customer service orientation
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken (knowledge of Arabic is an advantage)

Job Responsibilities:
• Provide comprehensive vision care services including eye examinations, diagnosis, treatment, management of eye diseases, contact lens fitting, low-vision rehabilitation etc.
• Assess patients’ ophthalmic conditions by administering specialized tests such as refraction tests, tonometry tests and slit lamp examination etc.
• Prescribe corrective lenses using lenses prescription such as eyeglasses or contact lenses or provide low vision aids when needed. • Evaluate patient’s knowledge about their condition and provide appropriate education regarding further treatment or management of their condition as well as safety precautions when using corrective lenses. • Maintain patient records within the practice information system • Assist with professional development training for staff members or other healthcare professionals in the region.
