Optometrist Job Opening in Doha

We are seeking an experienced Optometrist to join our team in Doha. The ideal candidate should possess the necessary qualifications and have a passion for helping people improve their vision. In this role, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive eye care services to our patients, including prescribing corrective lenses and advising patients on their overall eye health.

The successful applicant should have an optometry degree from a recognized institution and at least two years of experience in the field. You must also demonstrate excellent communication skills and the ability to follow instructions accurately. Furthermore, you should be able to work independently, as well as collaboratively with other healthcare professionals.

As an Optometrist, your primary duties will include:
• Examine eyes using ophthalmic testing equipment to detect vision problems; diagnose and manage ocular diseases
• Prescribe eyeglasses or contact lenses as necessary; assess patient’s needs and provide appropriate advice on lens selection
• Monitor patient’s progress over time; adjust or replace corrective lenses as needed
• Perform minor surgical procedures such as removal of foreign bodies from the eyes; diagnose glaucoma or other eye problems based on patient’s medical history
• Provide patient education on proper eye care techniques; maintain accurate records of all examinations conducted
• Ensure adherence to safety standards in the workplace
