Accountant in Doha, Qatar


We are looking for an experienced Accountant to join our team in Doha. This position is responsible for managing daily financial operations and ensuring accuracy in accounting records.

The ideal candidate should have at least 3 years of experience in accounting, strong knowledge of finance and taxation regulations, and be proficient with MS Office programs. Additionally, the successful candidate should possess excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, good organizational skills, and the ability to work independently.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Analyzing financial information and preparing financial reports
• Maintaining general ledger accounts and reconciling them on a monthly basis
• Conducting month-end and year-end close processes
• Handling accounts payable/receivable processes
• Preparing tax returns (VAT) and audits as required
• Creating budgets and forecasts
• Performing bank reconciliations
• Identifying discrepancies in data entries


Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance is preferred; equivalent education or experience may be considered

• At least 3 years of accounting experience with a strong knowledge of finance regulations is required

• Proficiency with MS Office programs (Excel, Word)

• Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail

• Good organizational skills with the ability to work independently

• The ability to communicate effectively in English both verbally and written
