Carpenter Job Summary
We are looking for a skilled Carpenter to construct, install, and repair structures and fixtures made from wood and other materials. The ideal candidate will have excellent manual dexterity, good communication skills, problem-solving abilities, and a strong knowledge of carpentry techniques. Responsibilities will include measuring and cutting materials accurately as well as constructing frames, structures, floors, doors, windows etc.

Duties & Responsibilities
• Measure and mark cutting lines on materials using ruler or measuring tape.
• Cut and shape pieces of materials like timber according to the measurements provided.
• Assemble cut and shaped materials using glue, screws etc.
• Construct frames for windows or doors according to measurements provided by the client.
• Install structures or fixtures like windows or doors on-site in accordance with safety standards.
• Inspect places where fixtures are to be installed and make necessary preparations such as drilling holes on walls before installation begins.
• Install moldings to enhance the appearance of buildings or other structures.
• Repair existing structures made from wood or other materials following specific instructions from clients or supervisors.
• Identify potential problems in construction processes quickly so that corrective measures can be taken immediately if necessary.
• Perform maintenance tasks such as sanding down surfaces regularly to ensure that all structures remain in good condition for longer periods of time. Qualifications & Skills
• High school diploma or equivalent is required; vocational training in carpentry is preferred but not necessary.
• A valid driver’s license may be required based on job location/requirement; must have reliable transportation for field work if needed.
• Must possess excellent manual dexterity with great attention to detail when working with tools and materials; ability to work independently with minimal supervision is also important.
• Good problem-solving skills along with a positive attitude are essential qualities that employers look for in carpenters; ability to follow instructions closely is also important when working on complex projects requiring precision workmanship.
• Must have excellent communication skills both verbally and written; must be able to read blueprints accurately if necessary for projects requiring precise measurements prior to construction/installation process begins.
