Job Description:
We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Librarian to join our team in Khawr Fakkan. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing library services, including organizing and shelving books, helping patrons find the resources they need and assisting with the library’s digital catalog. The ideal candidate will have excellent organizational skills and knowledge of library operations, as well as strong customer service skills.

Responsibilities:
• Organize books, materials and other items on shelves according to Dewey Decimal System or other library classification systems.
• Assist patrons in locating materials, researching topics or utilizing library services.
• Answer questions from patrons regarding library policies and procedures.
• Maintain the digital catalog to ensure accuracy.
• Assist with special projects such as book reviews or collection development activities.
• Monitor activity in the library to ensure compliance with rules and regulations.
• Oversee circulation desk activities including checking out books or materials.
• Perform regular maintenance such as dusting shelves or tidying up book stacks.

Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Library Science or equivalent experience preferred.
• Knowledge of Dewey Decimal System or other library classification systems preferred.
• Prior experience working in a library setting is a plus.
• Proficiency with computers and digital cataloging software preferred.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail essential.
• Outstanding customer service skills required.

Salary & Benefits:
This is a full-time position offering a salary of 900 AED per month along with health insurance benefits for the successful candidate who meets all eligibility requirements for immigrant status in UAE as applicable by law .
