We are looking for an enthusiastic librarian to join our team in Dubai. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing our library and its resources, organizing and supervising the use of materials and providing assistance to patrons.

The ideal candidate should have excellent organizational skills, strong customer service and communication skills, as well as a passion for books and reading. The ability to work independently is essential, as is the ability to work with others in a collaborative environment.

Responsibilities include:
• Maintaining library resources by organizing and cataloging books and other materials
• Creating displays to promote new books or materials
• Ensuring the Library is clean, safe, and inviting for patrons
• Assisting patrons with locating books or other materials
• Responding to patron inquiries about library services, policies, or procedures
• Issuing library cards to new patrons
• Tracking overdue books or materials and contacting patrons regarding their overdue items
• Training volunteers or student assistants in library procedures.

Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Library Science preferred but not required; experience working in a library setting will also be considered
• Experience using computers; knowledge of Microsoft Office applications preferred
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Strong customer service skills
• Excellent organizational skills
