Petroleum Engineer in Dubai, UAE


We are currently looking for a Petroleum Engineer to join our team in Dubai. This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic and successful team, where the successful candidate will be rewarded with a competitive salary of 1700.

This role is suited to an experienced Petroleum Engineer, preferably with some work experience in this field. An immigrant is welcome to apply for this role.

The successful candidate will have responsibility for the following tasks:
• Analyze and interpret geological and geophysical data to determine the most suitable drilling techniques
• Estimate resources and reserves, develop well plans and supervise drilling operations
• Design production systems and optimize production rates, including production enhancement techniques such as hydraulic fracturing, gas-lift optimization, etc.
• Dynamically monitor reservoir performance through analyzing well test data, pressure surveys and other instrument readings; recommend corrective action when necessary
• Monitor well servicing activities such as perforating, acidizing, gravel packing etc., in order to maintain production levels
• Design surface facilities related to all phases of field development including surface gathering systems and associated equipment

In addition to a solid technical background in petroleum engineering, we are seeking candidates who possess strong communication skills with the ability to relate well with colleagues of all levels. A self-motivated individual who likes taking initiative and ownership of projects is essential.

The successful candidate should demonstrate:
• A Bachelor’s degree in Petroleum Engineering or equivalent from a recognized university
• An understanding of oil/gas reservoir dynamics, fluid flow through porous media and well test analysis
• Knowledge of drilling principles with experience on directional/horizontal wells preferable
• The ability to develop models for reservoir simulation using software packages such as ECLIPSE or similar programs
