We are looking for a talented and experienced Sommelier to join our team in Dubai. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic and vibrant environment, with the potential to grow their career in the hospitality industry.

The successful candidate must possess exceptional knowledge of wines and food pairings, as well as a broad understanding of beverages. The ideal candidate should also have excellent customer service skills and be able to interact confidently with both customers and colleagues.

Responsibilities include:
• Recommending wine selections that best complement guests’ meals
• Educating guests on various types of wines, including descriptions, origins, vintages, styles, and prices
• Guiding customers through the menu to help them make informed decisions about food and beverage options
• Ensuring that all beverages are served at their best temperature
• Maintaining an up-to-date knowledge of wine trends in order to provide knowledgeable recommendations to customers
• Collaborating with kitchen staff on menu design or modifications based on seasonal ingredients or customer preferences
• Attending tastings or educational seminars if possible
• Meeting sales goals set by management
• Keeping the bar area clean and organized at all times

Qualifications:
• At least two years of experience working as a sommelier or similar role in a restaurant/bar/hotel setting
• In-depth knowledge of regional wines, international wines, craft beers, spirits, sake/shochu, etc. • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision • Excellent interpersonal skills and customer service skills • Proactive attitude towards problem solving • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds • Willingness to relocate (for immigrants) • Ability to speak English fluently (for immigrants)
