Land Surveyor - Doha, Qatar

We are looking for an experienced Land Surveyor to join our team in Doha, Qatar. The ideal candidate should have a background in construction or engineering and experience with land surveying duties.

The position involves the accurate measurement of land parcels, roadways, rivers, dams and other features of the landscape. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and executing surveys to collect data that will be used in various projects; they must also be able to conduct research on existing records and other documents related to land surveys.

Job Responsibilities:
- Use specialized equipment such as total stations, GIS software and other instruments to measure angles, distances and elevations
- Prepare sketches, maps and reports detailing findings from surveys
- Research land records such as deeds, titles or property descriptions
- Utilize GPS systems for accurate data collection
- Determine boundary lines by measuring distances between landmarks
- Record results of survey using diagrams or drawings
- Collaborate with engineers or architects for project planning purposes
- Adhere to safety protocols when working outdoors on job sites

Qualifications and Abilities:
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Engineering/Surveying or related field preferred
- Knowledge of GPS systems used in surveying activities
- Proficiency with computer applications such as GIS software ArcGIS AutoCAD etc.
- Ability to read maps accurately and interpret survey notes legal descriptions etc.

- Good problem solving skills with an eye for detail

- Able to work outdoors in all weather conditions

- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
