We are looking for a skilled Carpenter to join our team at Jabal-Ali. This is an excellent opportunity for a talented individual to join our progressive, dynamic and forward-thinking environment. The successful candidate will be expected to have a minimum of two years' experience in the carpentry trade and must possess the necessary qualifications and skills to complete their work in a professional manner.

The ideal candidate should have a proven track record in producing high quality carpentry work, as well as understanding of modern techniques and materials used in carpentry today. He/She should be well organised, with good communication skills and the ability to work on their own initiative.

The successful applicant will be expected to:
• Measure, cut and shape wood, composite materials and other materials using hand tools or power tools;
• Construct items such as windows, doors, stairs or furniture;
• Install fixtures such as door frames or skirting boards;
• Repair furniture or fixtures damaged by wear & tear;
• Finish work by sanding, staining or varnishing surfaces;
• Read drawings or diagrams to determine dimensions of structure;
• Interpret customer requirements from drawings or verbal instructions;
• Maintain tools in good condition.

Applicants must have the following qualifications: High School Diploma/Vocational qualification relevant to the carpentry trade, basic knowledge of mathematics/geometry for measuring purposes as well as safety knowledge when using power tools. The successful candidate will also need excellent communication skills in order to liaise effectively with customers and colleagues alike.
