Job Summary:
We are looking for an experienced Sommelier to join our hospitality team in Dubai. As a Sommelier you will be responsible for managing all aspects of wine service, including selection, presentation and pairing of wines with menu items. You will also be responsible for providing knowledgeable and courteous service to guests, training staff in wine appreciation and knowledge and providing a memorable experience for our customers.

Responsibilities:
• Manage all aspects of wine service including wine selection, presentation and pairing with food items
• Train staff in wine appreciation and knowledge
• Provide knowledgeable and courteous service to guests
• Develop wine lists that meet the needs of the restaurant
• Monitor inventory levels of wines in order to properly stock the cellar
• Maintain records of purchases and pricing
• Attend regular tastings to stay abreast of current market trends
• Ensure that all laws governing the sale and consumption of alcohol are followed at all times

Qualifications:
• At least 2 years’ experience as a sommelier or similar role in a high end restaurant/hotel setting
• Good understanding of wines from around the world
• Ability to communicate effectively with guests about wines
• Knowledgeable about food pairings with wines

Requirements:
• Must be willing to work flexible hours as required by management
• Must possess excellent verbal communication skills
• Must possess valid work authorization documents (for foreign nationals)
