Instrument Technician - Al-Kuwait

We are currently seeking an experienced Instrument Technician for a position in Al-Kuwait. This is an excellent opportunity to join a rapidly growing organization and work in an exciting and challenging environment. As the Instrument Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing industrial instruments used throughout the facility.

Responsibilities:
• Install, maintain and repair industrial instrument equipment including pressure, temperature controllers, flow meters, valve positioners, level switches and other related equipment.
• Troubleshoot instrument problems using appropriate test equipment and replace defective components or adjust parameters as needed.
• Perform preventive maintenance of all instruments to ensure reliable operation of all systems.
• Diagnose problems and make necessary repairs in a timely manner to minimize downtime of production operations.
• Maintain records of instrument calibrations/adjustments in accordance with applicable laws/regulations.
• Keep accurate records of all maintenance activities including parts used and labor hours expended on each job.
• Work with vendors to source parts or services as required by the plant operations.
• Follow safety regulations while performing repairs or installations on instruments as well as during daily activities in the plant environment.

Qualifications:
• High school diploma or equivalent; Associate degree in electronics technology preferred
• Minimum 5 years’ experience working with industrial instruments such as pressure, temperature controllers, flow meters etc., preferably in a manufacturing environment
• Working knowledge of electrical circuits, electronic components, computer systems & PLCs

Knowledge:
• Working knowledge of codes & regulations related to instrumentation maintenance & repair
• Knowledgeable about safe handling practices when working with hazardous materials/chemicals
• Proficient in English (spoken & written)
