ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Plans menus / specials for all food served in the restaurant, bar and private dining.
• Schedules and co-ordinates the work of chefs and kitchen porters to assure that food preparation is within budgeted labour cost goals.
• Ensures that high standards of Cleaning, Health and Safety are maintained throughout all kitchen areas at all times.
• Establishes controls to reduce food and waste.
• Safeguards all employees by implementing training to increase their knowledge and awareness about safety, cleaning and accident prevention principles.
• Evaluates food products to assure that quality standards are consistently attained.
• Ordering of associated goods, packaging, chemicals etc
• Perform other duties as requested
