Requirements for the Candidate:
• At least 3 years’ experience in a similar role
• Excellent knowledge of food preparation techniques, ingredients, equipment and processes
• Familiarity with various cuisines and culinary trends
• Ability to work long hours in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to remain calm under pressure and take direction well
• Creative flair and enthusiasm for developing new recipes
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask

Duties of the Position:
• Preparing meals according to recipes or menus
• Ensuring all kitchen equipment is in good working order
• Purchasing food supplies as needed
• Monitoring food stock levels and ordering items as needed
• Supervising other kitchen staff such as sous chefs, cooks etc.
• Checking that prepared dishes meet standards for quality and quantity before serving them
