As a Welder, you will be responsible for correctly interpreting blueprints or engineering drawings to prepare for welding tasks. You will also need to ensure that all materials used for welding are of high quality, fit perfectly together, and meet the requirements specified in the drawings. Additionally, you will be responsible for maintaining all tools and equipment used throughout the welding process. Finally, you will need to inspect finished welds to ensure they meet industry standards in terms of strength, accuracy, safety, and appearance.

To be eligible as a welder candidate, you must have at least 1 year of experience with welding techniques such as TIG/MIG/Stick welding or Flux Core Arc Welding (FCAW). You must also have knowledge of different types of metals used in the welding process as well as their properties such as melting temperature or conductivity. Additionally, you should have basic mechanical skills such as drilling or cutting with saws or torches. Knowledge of safety protocols is essential in this role too; being able to understand safety instructions is key when working with hazardous materials like molten metal or hazardous gases like carbon dioxide or acetylene gas is essential.
