Accountant Position - Abu-Dhabi

We are looking for an experienced and professional Accountant to join our team in Abu-Dhabi. The successful candidate will be responsible for the accurate recording of financial transactions and maintenance of the organization’s financial records.

Job Description:
The Accountant will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing financial statements, reports, summaries and analyses to support the organization’s decision-making process. The Accountant will also provide guidance on compliance related matters as well as recommend process improvements where appropriate.

Responsibilities:
• Maintaining accurate records of financial transactions, preparing detailed reports on all aspects of the organization’s finances
• Analyzing accounts and other documents related to the organization’s finances
• Assisting with budgeting processes and monitoring spending
• Performing bank reconciliations and ensuring accuracy of all financial information
• Preparing monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements for internal review
• Developing and maintaining internal control procedures to safeguard company assets
• Ensuring that all relevant laws and regulations are being met with regards to taxation, payroll etc.

Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance or related field from a recognized university
• Minimum 5 years experience in a similar role is required

Experience & Skills Required:
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles including GAAP standards
• Advanced proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel) with ability to create spreadsheets/reports • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail • Excellent communication skills both written & verbal in English language • Knowledge of taxation laws is an added advantage
