Sommelier Vacancy in Dubai

We are seeking an experienced Sommelier for a high-end restaurant in Dubai. The role requires an individual with a passion for wine and excellent knowledge of the industry. The successful applicant will be responsible for managing the wine list, selecting wines, and providing advice to customers. In addition, they will provide training to staff on wine and food pairings, as well as other related topics.

The successful candidate must have a minimum of three years of experience in a similar role, with extensive knowledge of both local and international wines. They should have excellent communication skills and the ability to interact with customers in a professional manner. They should also be able to speak English fluently and be willing to relocate to Dubai. Preference will be given to applicants who have worked or studied abroad previously.

The role includes selecting wines for the list according to customer demand, making recommendations based on customer preferences, offering pairing advice, maintaining the stock levels of all wines, working closely with suppliers and vendors to keep up with current trends and developing new products for the menu. In addition, they will develop pricing strategies for various wines and ensure quality control throughout the process.

The successful candidate must possess strong organizational skills, good problem-solving abilities and attention to detail. Furthermore, they should have excellent customer service skills, as well as confidence when presenting their ideas or suggesting new products or services.

This is a full-time position offering an attractive salary of 1,000 per month plus benefits such as medical insurance coverage, visa sponsorship (for non-nationals), annual vacation leave allowance and end-of-service benefits; all subject to applicable UAE laws & regulations.
