Truck Driver Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Truck Driver to join our team in Doha. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving a truck over established routes and roads while following all applicable laws and safety regulations. The Truck Driver must be able to read maps and follow directions, as well as possess excellent problem-solving abilities in order to determine the best routes.

Duties and Responsibilities:
• Operate a truck according to traffic laws and safety regulations
• Secure cargo before and during transit
• Inspect the truck for defects before and after trips
• Maintain records such as vehicle logs, records of cargo, or billing statements
• Follow all applicable traffic laws
• Follow instructions from dispatch or other supervisors
• Plan routes using maps or GPS devices
• Communicate with dispatch to receive delivery instructions
• Unload cargo at designated locations

Job Requirements:
• Proven experience as a truck driver
• Valid driver's license (Class A)
• Good numeracy skills
• Ability to read maps and follow directions
• Excellent problem-solving abilities

Skills & Competencies: • Knowledge of applicable traffic laws • Ability to operate a GPS device • Familiarity with DOT regulations • Good physical stamina • Flexibility for different shift patterns • Ability to work in a team environment • Professionalism in dealing with customers
