As a land surveyor at our company you will be responsible for conducting surveys of land as well as man-made structures or features such as roads, bridges, or dams. You will have to use specialized surveying instruments such as total stations and GPS systems to measure angles and distances between points on the ground and calculate coordinates of points on the ground surface. You will also have to interpret the results of your surveys in order to create maps or other documents that accurately reflect the terrain or structures surveyed.

Additionally, you will have to review your results with clients or engineers in order to ensure accuracy before submitting your final report which may include plans, diagrams or other documents related to your survey. Other duties may include preparing documents necessary for legal proceedings such as boundary disputes as well as researching title records or relevant laws and regulations related to land surveying projects.

The ideal candidate should possess excellent communication skills with attention to detail being paramount for this role. A degree in geomatics engineering or a related field is preferred but not required depending on experience level.
