Light Driver Job

Job Responsibilities:
• Safely drive vehicles of all weights and sizes, including vans and light trucks
• Ensure the vehicle is in a safe and roadworthy condition at all times by carrying out basic maintenance checks such as oil levels, tire pressure and fluid levels
• Follow directions from dispatch or client to reach the destination on time
• Adhere to local traffic laws and regulations at all times to ensure the safety of passengers, other driversand pedestrians
• Load, unload and secure cargo accordingly while taking care not to damage items due to careless handling
• Keep records of vehicle maintenance activities, trips taken and any relevant paperwork required by law or company policies.

Qualifications & Skills:
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record that meets state-mandated requirements
• Ability to operate manual transmission vehicles
• Good knowledge of local roads
• Familiarity with vehicle maintenance procedures
• Excellent time management skills with keen attention to detail
• Ability to lift heavy items while adhering to safety protocols
