We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Librarian to join our team in Dubai. The ideal candidate will be a creative and organized individual who can help develop and maintain our library services.

The successful candidate should have excellent organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. They should also have excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. Knowledge of cataloguing systems would be an advantage.

We are offering a salary of 1700 per month for this position, with potential for growth based on experience and performance. We are open to considering foreign candidates for this role.

The main job responsibilities will include:
• Maintaining records of library material and circulation systems
• Ensuring library security by monitoring access to the library
• Assisting patrons with reference queries
• Cataloguing new acquisitions
• Disseminating information about new books and materials available in the library
• Developing creative programs and activities to promote library use
• Assisting patrons with using computers, printers, scanners, etc.
• Training staff on how to use the library’s resources

To be considered for this role we are looking for someone who meets the following criteria:
• Bachelor's degree or higher qualification in Library Science or related field • A minimum of one year experience as a librarian (experience is not required if you have completed postgraduate studies) • Demonstrated knowledge of cataloguing systems • Good computer literacy • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail • Ability to maintain confidentiality at all times
