Civil Engineer Job in Doha

Job Summary: We are looking for a highly-skilled and experienced Civil Engineer to join our team in Doha. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, planning and overseeing the construction of projects related to civil engineering, such as roads and bridges.

Requirements for the Candidate:
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field
• Solid knowledge of construction methods, regulations, procedures, standards and safety measures
• Excellent communication skills
• Excellent organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Adaptability to changing requirements
• Willingness to relocate to Doha if necessary
• Ability to work with a minimum supervision
• Minimum work experience is required. Immigrant candidates are welcome
Job Duties & Responsibilities:
• Formulate designs that comply with relevant standards and regulations
• Develop detailed designs for civil engineering works such as roads, bridges, canals, dams etc. through the use of computer-aided design software (CAD)
• Inspect construction sites and evaluate contractors’ performance • Monitor progress of construction activities against established schedules • Review contractors’ drawings and designs prior to implementation • Prepare cost estimates for materials and labor costs associated with a project • Coordinate with other professionals such as architects, surveyors, landscape architects etc. during project development stages • Resolve technical issues that may arise during the course of the project • Provide technical advice on civil engineering works as needed • Ensure all projects meet quality control standards set by authorities
