Welder Job Summary

Job Requirements and Responsibilities

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, sketches or technical instructions
• Knowledge of welding processes such as MIG/MAG/TIG welding
• Ability to set up welding machines according to specifications
• Ability to use hand tools such as grinders, files etc., when needed
• Knowledge of safety regulations related to welding operations
• Good organizational skills
• Excellent communication skills in English (verbal & written)

Responsibilities:

• Perform MIG/MAG/TIG welding according to required specifications
• Set up welding machines according to job requirements
• Repair worn parts on machinery or other equipment using tools such as welders, torches or soldering irons • Read blueprints or technical instructions before starting any job • Test welds for strength using pull-testers or other methods • Ensure that all safety guidelines are followed during all work activities • Operate grinders, files or other hand tools when necessary • Maintain accurate records of tasks completed
