Crane Operator
Location: Abu-Dhabi
Salary: 1300
The company is looking for a Crane Operator to join their team in Abu-Dhabi. The ideal candidate should possess knowledge of the operation of cranes, crane safety requirements, and standard operating procedures. This position requires a high level of concentration, attention to detail, and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
Qualifications:
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in Crane Operation
• Ability to read and interpret technical documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
• Good interpersonal skills with the ability to work independently as well as part of a team
• Must possess a valid driver’s license
Duties & Responsibilities:
• Operate mobile cranes to lift heavy objects by turning dials or pushing levers; follow instructions from supervisor.
• Inspect crane prior to operation; check brakes, steering mechanism, gauges, hoist line lengths and capacities, etc.
• Ensure all safety guidelines are followed during operation of crane; use load charts for proper load placements; attach loads properly using slings.
• Monitor surroundings and direct traffic when necessary; notify supervisor if any unsafe conditions are present.
• Conduct regular maintenance on equipment including daily inspections for wear/tear or malfunctions; report any issues immediately.
• Establish secure connections between crane hook and materials being lifted/moved by ensuring correct knots are tied and all connections are secure before lifting.
