Job Summary:
We are currently seeking a highly experienced and capable Mason to join our team in Doha. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing masonry activities on a wide range of projects including commercial and residential buildings. The Mason will need to understand the basics of masonry work, be able to work independently and follow instructions. The successful candidate will also need to have experience with stonework, brickwork, blockwork, concrete block-laying and cement-mixing.

Job Responsibilities:
The Mason’s primary responsibility is to perform masonry activities on a wide range of projects according to established standards and specifications. This includes laying blocks or bricks in mortar according to established patterns or plans; mixing mortar; installing tile or stone; setting forms; and cutting stone or other materials as required. The Mason will also need to inspect completed work for accuracy and adherence to building codes as well as ensure that construction sites are kept clean at all times. In addition, the Mason is responsible for ensuring safety protocols are observed at all times while working on site.

Qualifications:
The ideal candidate for this position should possess at least two years of experience in masonry construction along with a valid driver’s license. Applicants should be able to read blueprints/drawings/plans accurately in order to ensure that all tasks are carried out according to plan. Candidates should also possess basic math skills including the ability measure accurately using metric/imperial systems as well as knowledge of safety regulations related to construction sites. A high school diploma is preferred but not essential for this role if suitable experience can be demonstrated.
