Job Duties & Requirements
• Installing new electrical systems or replacing old ones • Maintaining existing electrical systems by troubleshooting problems • Testing electrical components for proper operation • Inspecting wiring for defects or potential hazards • Repairing faulty wiring or components • Meeting code requirements when installing new equipment • Reading blueprints or diagrams when installing new systems
• Must have experience working with low voltage systems • Must be familiar with safety regulations related to electricity • Must be able to understand complex technical documents • Must have problem solving skills
• Must be able to lift heavy objects when necessary • High school diploma or equivalent required; certification in a related field preferred
